Greetings from the College of Business.
As a double alumna of Minnesota State University, Mankato, I am honored to be serving as the director of development for the College of Business. Since I started in this position in January 2007, I have had the honor and privilege to get to know the dedicated faculty, staff, and emeriti of the college, along with many alumni, friends, and other supporters. However, with more than 20,000 COB alumni around the world, I know there are many people to meet, share memories of the University (the current and the old lower campus), and discuss the future of business education. I look forward to meeting those whom I have not yet met, and encourage those interested in the college to contact me. I also look forward to continuing to strengthen our current relationships and build new ones as the College of Business strives to continue its almost 60-year mission of educating undergraduate and MBA students in the region and beyond to be successful and responsible business professionals.
The College of Business has been a leader in teaching business since its inception and we are proud to recognize the excellence in this college. We are equally proud to acknowledge the gifted students that have graduated and gone on to successful careers or are still in the classrooms and dreaming of what their futures may hold.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our very generous donors who provide the much needed funds for scholarships and programs within college. Through the donations of friends, supporters, and many alumni, the College of Business is very humbled to be able to award an astounding $130,650 during the 2007-2008 academic year!
But the needs of our students and this college continue to grow with each year as we offer an affordable and superior education. I invite each of you reading this message to consider the impact of what a gift to the College of Business can have. You can directly impact the life of a student through a donation to one of our scholarships or to one of the operational accounts. Your gift can help the college provide the kind of programs and education that allow our students to know that the future is filled with possibilities and limitless dreams...and they are prepared to enter the world of business.
For more information about partnership, sponsorship, and giving opportunities to the College of Business, please feel free to call or e-mail me. I look forward to sharing our successes and dreams with you.
Regards,
Leah
